Chỉ người có đức độ, trong sạch và không vướng mắc lợi danh mới không phải cầu cạnh, nhờ vả ai. Thường dùng để nói về tư thế tự tại, thanh cao của người không bị ràng buộc bởi nhu cầu vụ lợi.

Only a person of virtue, purity, and freedom from worldly gain has no need to beg or depend on others. It is used to describe the self-possessed, noble bearing of someone unbound by selfish needs.
